digitallysick
i have the " osx86-fully-patched-sse2-rosetta-ati.iso" i burned it to a dvd, hooked up an old hard drive ( its a 6 gig HD from 1998, dont know if thats my problem) i put in the dvd, everything comes up fine, i was able to install osx 86, when it finishes its supposed to "restart" thats where it just hangs (wont restart) so when i reboot the pc, it goes to the boot screen it will says " disk boot failure please insert system disc" Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/8358-osx-86-installed-but-wont-boot/ Share on other sites
Metrogirl
There are literally DOZENS of posts with this same issue and many of them offer solutions. The ATI kexts, which you've installed with this ISO, can cause a hang on reboot with certain ATI hardware - i.e. they are not a perfect fix. Might be that, might not be. But please, look at this forum sub-section and then try the Wiki and search functions. Thanks.
