Dirk Breeuwer
Hello, this is my first time trying to instal Mac OSx on my PC! I have downloaded the ToH x86 9A581 RC2 release. When I finished downloading I extracted the iso to see what was inside. It only extracts a few files no larger than 600 mb. Well I figured that I would be normal, so I continued and burned it with DVD decrypter. I used a Memorex Dvd+r 16x. And burned at 8x. I booted my pc, and booted it with the following commands: -x -v. After a few minutes, it just stops and gives me this: Mac Framework Successfully Initialized ... .. . 4 error-reporting bancs IA32_MCO_Status (0x401): 0x000000000000000 invalid IA32_MCO_Status (0x405): 0x000000000000000 invalid ... ... ... panic(cpu 0 caller 0x001A7BED): Kernel trapt at 0x00134db4 Mac OS Version: Not yet Set It had some more messages that I figured would be unnessesary to post. I am sorry if this problem is allready solved, but I searched and I coudn't find anything. I have also tried everything possible. I also have two doubts: What is: KALYWAY 10.5.1 DVD release What is a: hackingtosh I know they are pretty dumb questions but I just want to fully understand everything. Thanks in advance. mtotho
Kalyway's is, like Toh's, a DVD release for leopard. Some consider it the best current release. A Hackintosh is Leopard installed on a PC I have no idea whats wrong with your other stuff.... other than Memorex is the worst brand of DVD's. And What do you mean by you extracted it and you got a few 600mb files? do you mean you extracted a few 600mb files into 1 iso? It should be one big file about 2.5-4.5gb (i dont really remember at this moment) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/83472-installing-osx86-on-a-non-brand-computer/#findComment-592892 Share on other sites
wahwahman89
The problem is some of these ISO files need to be burned in DiskUtility in OS X. Others are fine in Nero (like Kalyways). Extract the iso (JUST into an ISO file, DON'T go any deeper), go to Nero -> Burn Image -> Point to kalyway, pop a blank DVD, off you go. It should result with 8-10 files readable in Windows and everything else readable in OS X - 4.5GB I think.
