JeffreyAtW
Hey guys. Been trying to install to my computer on and off for months now, without much luck. I thought I'd finally tap into your knowledge and see what you can do. Here's my specs: ASUS M2V motherboard AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ NVIDIA GeForce 7800GT LITE-ON DVD-RW 80GB PATA formatted to FAT32 and set to Primary Master JaS 10.4.8 AMD-Intel SSE2 SSE3 + PPF1 + PPF2 Upon booting, I need to input a few things: cpus=1 (panics saying cpus > num_cpus otherwise) rd=disk0s1 (I need to tell it to boot from the first disk and first volume for some reason) -x -v (safe, verbose) It detects my disk. Says: Got boot device = IOService: BSD root: disk0s1, major 14, minor 1 Then for some reason, it tries going on to nfs_boot even though it doesn't say it found any errors with the hard drive, and then panics. nfs_boot: networking is not initialized panic(cpu 0 caller 0x002c2f0b): nfs_boot_init failed with 6 Debugger called: <panic> Backtract, Format - Frame : Return Address (4 potential args on stack) [hex codes follow] I can't think of why it would simply skip my disk and go onto an nfs boot, then crash. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/83258-panic-during-install-on-asus-homebrew/ Share on other sites
