Ames Posted January 21, 2008 Share Posted January 21, 2008 I am trying, without success to force the resolution on an ATI Mobility x1600. I am running the Kalyway version of Leopard 10.5.1 and have Quartz Extreme working. However my screen won't go above 1152x864 and my screen is 1440x900. frostiebek Posted March 10, 2008 Share Posted March 10, 2008 +1 Graphics: ATI mobility x1600 71c5 with 1440x900 screen (ASUS w2jc) same problem: with a clean install of 10.5.1 with KALYWAY + 10.5.2 combopatch without any additional driver installed I've got QE/CE working out of the box, but I can't modify my resolution (only 1024x768). I tried without success the ATImobility pack which turns the screen into black after reboot + "vga familly specific matching failed" message in boot log. I also tried the "Graphics Mode" option but still no success.. So I've got hardware acceleration but no native res, maybe some one knows how I can rape my current screen configuration to finally get it working :-) Thanks !
