toldor
hello, after reinstalling several times with several options i am out of ideas where the problem can be. maybe someone can help me. well i installed kalyway 10.5.1 without problems. when i boot system it always reboots after loading kexts. i tried all kinds of hints i read here. with -x -f -s -v -legacy and so on. and i tried to install with vanilla kernel and without. with rebootfix too. but nothing happens. what i not tried was the sse2 option, because i think my cpus is sse3. what can it be? here my specs: Asrock 775 MoBo pentium d 805 2 GB RAM PATA 40GB Disc if i forgot anything, just ask me. what i tried too is to remove the Extensions.mkext and the AppleSMBIOS.kext. Nothing changed. Still rebooting :-( Can anyone help me?
fredouille
WELL I WANT TO SUMMARIZE THINGS: BIOS SETTINGS ARE VERY IMPORTANT ! SO THIS IS A BIOS SETTING TEMPLATE : To your CPU CONFIGURATION section : MAX CPUID VALUE Limit (or similar) : Disabled Vanderpool or virtualization : Disabled CPU TM Function : Enabled Excecute Disable Bit (or called NX or XD on some mobos) : Enabled (the most important, if not enabled the result is reboot loop with vanilla kernel) To your POWER section : ACPI 2.0 Support : Enabled ACPI APIC : Enabled and vanillia kernel won't run with pentium D
