Having a bit of a problem getting my installation to start up.

Without EFI the installation booted fine, but the DVD had to be in the drive for it to boot. Without the DVD, the drive didn't seem to be recognised as bootable.

With EFI, when the DVD is used to boot, it immediately reboots after 'Loading Darwin...'. Booting without the DVD yields the same result as when not using EFI.

So far I have...

Tried setting boot flag with GParted CD, but it was already set.

Tried rebuilding the MBR with Partition Table Doctor, but it made no difference

Tried installing with the IDE drives disconnected, but no difference

Tried playing around with the AHCI stuff in the BIOS, but no difference

Tried different combinations for the SATA ports, but no difference

Anyone got any ideas? Is it worth giving the Kalyway DVD a shot, or is there still hope here?
