I'm already edit plist for insert dev&ven id for my intel pro 100/VE

and repair permission & delete Extensions.mkext for renew boot cache

But's after restart, kext not load automatically and network card can't use,

I'm try to boot with -s into root and type command "kextload /system/library/ionetworkingfamily.kext/contents/plugins/appleintel8255x.kext"

and it's can load successfull ,and type exit for continue load into osx and test my network, it's work !

I'm can use file sharing, internet and everything

,But's every time when i'm restart again,appleintel8255x.kext not load into kernel too :P

Have any solution for force kernel to load my kext automatically without -s to insert command :P

I'm use Kalaway Leopard 10.5.1

Thank you for advance bow.gif

This kext will ONLY load if it finds the CORRECT NIC to attach to! If it didn't load it means that it could not bind to your card!

If you follow your boot sequence, you will probably fine an error message in the line of: "unable to attach, or load ....". Even if you did change the device ID in the info.plist, IF the driver cannot read the eeprom it will not load

Thank's for answer.

I'm sure to insert correct id 0x10928086 into info.plist and it's can use, because problem are it's not automatic load on boot

until i'm use the command "kextload /system/lib......inte8255.kext" before leopard will see my card and work fine.

[and can't use again when restart]

I'm already clear Extensions.mkext and it's can't help.

and I'm don't know now what wrong on my configuration

I'm think my id is correct but it's not loading into kernel

Thank for advance.

I had the same problem and my question remain unanswered. But thanks to joe, from irc, I managed to deal with it.

First I deleted IONetworkingFamily.kest. Then I got boot and welcome screen, but this screen was like looped (it started all over again just after I finish entering all my info).

Then booted with "Graphics Mode"="640x480x32" -f -v. It booted to the desktop and joe said that this means that all the passwords should be changed.

I did so using utility from the install DVD.

Next I booted with -f -v. It booted and accepted my passw.

So now I have Leo. And now I must repair the kest that I deleted.

Try this....

take the kext out of the IONEXXX.kext put it in with the other kextss, do the chown, chmod rm mkext thing and see if it starts up when you reboot with -v -f
