pc_guru
Hi everyone, I don't know if this's the right forum (subforum), but i'm wordered if anyone got his/her osx86 (any version, but i'm interested in 10.4.1) working in internet with cable-modem and with native installation (not VMWare) ?. I ask it, because all posts than i've read only talk about of to connect into internet using VMWare with network card, but i've never listened the same comment with native installation. Thanks you. guilliamo
Seems that it isn't possible, maybe nobody could to connect into internet on native installation. I was/am able to connect to Internet via cable modem (ethernet) in both 10.4.1 & 10.4.3. Wireless w/Belkin FD7000 was also seamless in 10.4.1, problematic (so far) in 10.4.3, but I have not had time to try all the fixes. All above in "native" installs. From what I read here, your experience will vary dramatically depending on your network chipset(s). G Motherboard: Intel D915GAG (10.4.3/8F1111g) CPU: Pentium 4/630 3 GHz, 2MB Cache w/HT RAM: 2GB DDR GPU: GMA900 w/Dell ADD2 DVI adapter (supporting QE/CI at 1920 x 1200) Display: DELL 2405FPW 24" LCD Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/8235-someone-could-to-connect-into-internet-without-vmware/#findComment-55586 Share on other sites

Paintball24
I'm having problems connecting to the Internet on a native installation. I used a WMP11 Wireless card by Linksys to connect on Windows. Any idea? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/8235-someone-could-to-connect-into-internet-without-vmware/#findComment-87057 Share on other sites
