Keyboard Help Please

Hi All,

 

I've been trying to install the the OS I've grown to Love on Mac's, now onto my Intel.

 

Yes, I know there are posts about keyboard issues, but I'm to bogged down at the moment, new baby and she's a handful.

 

So to get to the point, what are the biggest issues I need to focus on in order to get a keyboard to work with OS X86 with the latest Maxxuss update.

 

1. Do I need a serial keyboard and mouse for the PC end, can't seem to us my existing USB Mac Keyboard to enter and change my BIOs to change the boot lineup?

 

2. If I purchase a PC as apposed to a Mac keyboard, will it work once I install OS X? Will the Windows Key act as the Apple Key?

 

3. I noticed that some people, in my quick skim through other posts, have deleted some kext files to get keyboards to work. Is this absolutely necessary? Or will it boot natively after I've fixed the keyboard issue.

 

4. Thanks to all for their help in advance, since I can't afford a new Intel Mac. All of my money has gone into what I could to build an Intel System, and Diapers.
