I have same asus x51r but with T2450 2.0 Ghz i Find a solution for "still waiting for root device" error but after that one more error if you make two drives like your d: drive is fat32 and c: with windows so you will right rd=disk0s2 means 0 harddisk number and 2 driver which is D: and if you drive is not primry it will not work with exte or logi drives but friend after that i will stuck on screen saying ======================== BSD process name corresponding to current thread: kernel_task Mac OS version: Not yet set Kernel Version: Darwin Kernel Version 9.2.0: Sun Mar 2 00:11:08 SCT 2008; made by ToH:xnu-1228/BUILD/obj/RELEASE_i386 =================== till now no success.... nik5_nik5 Posted May 24, 2010 Share Posted May 24, 2010 guys u will must connect USB-CDROM and then install is done! but then after boot (chameleon) when logo "apple" system is not have access to hdd (still waiting for root device - if "-x"), becouse in BIOS we (x51r) can't find options (ACHI)..... maybee u have find some solution after my post! Start disk utility. Make new partition on flash drive , with MBR and Mac OS Extended (journaled)! Restore installation disk iATKOS_v7 on flash drive! Start OSX86Tools ! Instal EFI on flash drive! Now boot asus x51r from flash drive!!!!!!!!! In installation: Boot loader - Chameleon v2 X86 Patches: /Extra directory DSDT Apple Decrypt SMBIOS- EFI Apple SMBIOS netkas 9. 7. 0 Kernel Voodoo X86 ACPI Disabler OHR -Open Halt Restart Drivers: ATI HD ATI SATA/IDE VIA SATA/IDE Speed step Driver USB Azalia Audio Driver Voodoo PS/2 driver with Trackpad plugin Laptop Battery Realtek RTL 8139 And install!!!! After installation need kext or pkg for Atheros AR5007 for 10.5.7 system kext or pkg for Radeon x 300!!!!
