patrickmcguire
hey everyone, i just set up a semi-successful windows xp pro/osx86 box on my pentium 4 machine. however, i've installed the pre-patched jas iso of osx, and now i realize that i'm running instructions that are designed for sse2 machines. i tried copying the original kernel over/repairing disk permissions but that didn't work properly. it's possible i did it wrong. what's the best way for me to get os x running at full speed? it's okay now, but i'm sure it could be better. thanks a lot Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/8212-how-can-i-unleash-the-sse3/ Share on other sites
DiaboliK
if you are using the jas patch it will recognize you are running on sse3 and wont emulate it. if you go to system profiler and check your cpu instructions and it says sse3 you have nothing to worry about.
