tacostick
OK, running iATKOS 1.0i. Anytime I plug in a USB device--ipod, HDD, you name it--i need to reboot in order for Leopard to sense it. I found a solution to this somewhere before, but I can't remember where. It involved a quick Terminal command to refresh the comp's USB drivers, or something to the effect. Any ideas? --tacostick

JollyRogers
could try this sudo kextload /System/Library/Extensions/IOUSBMassStorageClass.kext or sudo rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/Caches then wait a few secs. or take a look at your System.kext version... is it matching your kernel version? (this fixed mine) or google "forum.insanelymac.com USB not loading" to find more details or lore ideas...
