sleze
I was trying to upgrade from 10.4.1 to 10.4.3 and had JUST enough space (1.8 GB) to do the upgrade. Well something happened and the installer locked up so I shut down and rebooted and tried to upgrade again. Only now I only have 900MB free and it won't start the installation until I free up more space. Well I had already deleted all the unnecessary files(music, movies, etc) as well as large apps like iPhoto and iTunes. Firstly, where is the location of the temp files it installed and how do I delete them. Secondly, where else can I reclaim some space from(I installed to a 6GB partition). PS - I tried searching for this but nothing came up Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/8181-upgrade-from-1041-to-1043-failed-and-now-not-enough-space/ Share on other sites
Metrogirl
You could use a partition tool to expand the partition. My suggestion is to make sure you have backed up everything you want and do a fresh installation. Not much from your 10.4.1 will work with 10.4.3 anyway. Olivier
Hey, Better to format and make a clean install... And 6 GB is not enough, if you start to play with Itunes and import your songs... Good luck, Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/8181-upgrade-from-1041-to-1043-failed-and-now-not-enough-space/#findComment-50820 Share on other sites
