AppleUSBUHCI: controller reset failed

I used WinHex to "dd" the patched VMware image to a unpartitioned HD. When I try to boot using -x -s -v, the error "AppleUSBUHCI: controller reset failed" comes up at the last line. Is there anything I can do?

 

My system:

VIA P4PB Ultra Mobo

Intel P4 2.66 GHZ w/SSE2

WD Caviar 80GB

Geforce Ti4800

SB Audigy

 

I use Logitech wireless MX Duo, plugged into the keyboard and mouse port. Anything I can delete to avoid the error?
