mark blackett
I just installed OS X Leopard 10.5.1 (Intel) and it won't boot without the install DVD in the drive. I searched the forums a bit for this.. "blinking cursor" thing.. and they all said to boot with the DVD in the drive, not to press any keys at the countdown, and the installer DVD will automaticly boot to the correct OS X volume.. which is does, perfectly. But now, it would be nice to be able to boot without the installer DVD... any idea on how to fix this ?
mark blackett
Okay, problem solved. I used the Darwin_Boot util that came on the atikos dvd... did the trick
MilesR
Anyone else with this issue (and that doesn't get fixed by the method described above, or using the Gparted Live CD)...would do well to try fixing the MBR of the disk using "Hiren's Boot CD". http://uphuck.ggrn.de/forum/showthread.php?t=1070
