54mbps Posted January 13, 2008 Share Posted January 13, 2008 Here is my problem. I wanted to change my password (on a macbook with 10.5.1) using the system prefs option. I was successful, but my new password would not work all the time (?) The password was OK when waking the macbook up from sleep and logging in, but not for installing new items or modifying system preferences. So I then tried putting in the Leopard Retail DVD and booting from it to reset my password BACK TO THE ORIGINAL, but now I have the same problem. My ORIGINAL password works for logging in and waking up from sleep, but NEITHER of my passwords work for installing items. Please Help. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
