Metrogirl Posted January 31, 2006 Share Posted January 31, 2006 Interesting. A 4.7GB DVD really only has 4.38GB capacity. They refer to 4.7 billion bytes which is NOT the same as 4.7 gigabytes. That's the same disgusting marketing ploy they use with HDDs (you know, that 200GB you bought is actually 182GB). Ref. the difference between 1000 and 1024 - more on Google if you need to know the precise background. No idea if the image is too big for a single layer or not. I'd be surprised if it is. My download still has a way to go so I can't comment beyond that.
