I have an HP m7750n PC with an 8800 GTS and I have no RAID support. S.M.A.R.T is always on, no way to turn it off. :(

SATA DVD-RW drive / SATA 320 GB HD and its a totally seperate HDD than my winxp drive. I unplug my 400GB Winxp hd when i try to install using the mac os 10.4.8 (JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3) iso and it gets to the bootloader and hangs at /.com...IOUSB somthing. says it has no depedency. 320 GB is FAT32 and I cant figure out whats going on. Is SATA the problem?
