TheGeezUs
Hi, I do have a Asus P5B-VM. I'm running Leopard 10.5.1 (Kalyway) on it. I do changed the AppleAC97Audio.kext to be able to get some sound out of the Intel Hi-def onboard audio, but this is not working. When Mac OS X start I get a message telling me that the extension "/system/library/Extensions/AppleAC97Audio.kext/Content/plugins/AppleAzaliaAudio.kext" wasn't correctly installed and cannot be used. Do someone have the correct set of .kext for the onbard sound ? Currently i'm using a USB headset (with mic) to be able to heard something, but it would be nice to be able to plug some speakers. And I do not want to buy a soundcard. Thanks ! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/81044-sound-problem-with-asus-p5b-vm-motherboard/ Share on other sites

Try Misticos sound fix uncheck everything in his package except sound and install, after you reboot your sound should work. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...&hl=mistico Good luck, cheers, Plucka Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/81044-sound-problem-with-asus-p5b-vm-motherboard/#findComment-574762 Share on other sites
