Triple-M
Hi Folks, I just managed installing Kalyway without any errors coming up (four partitions (MBR) created on my empty 250GB-SATA-WD-Platte [3xFAT32, 1xMac OS Extended (Journaled)] , graphics Drivers, Vanilla, EFI_MBR). Darwin's coming up okay but after the Darwin-welcome-message my machine reboots over and over again. There are four lines showing up very short just bevor the machine reboots - but too fast to see what the messages are. I tried a lot of different Bios options - without any success. The usual startup options -v or -f do not halb either, entering just "?" to show help does not work either - nothing is displayed. Now I'm wondering if the Darwin itself is not installed / set up correctly. Does anyone of you guys have some more ideas? Thanks in advance! Triple-M! 1101011
using vanilla kernel?, you made sure cpuid limit and nx bit enabled in bios, i had same problem with my install and this solved, hope it helps Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/80761-kalyway-1051-installed-reboots-after-darwin/#findComment-572493 Share on other sites
Triple-M
@kericoul: Unfortunately the -x option does not work either. It's loading a whole bunch of drivers but after a tons of screens the damn machine reboots again... It seems that the reboot appears right after Loading HFS+ file: [/system/Library/Extensions/TMSafetyNet.kext/Contents/MacOS/TMSafetyNet] from 422d3f0 @1101011: Yes, I'm using the vanilla kernel - at least I'm trying to :-)! The CPUID Limit is enabled but the nx bit I don't have within my AMI-Bios ...just trying to install once again without the vanilla kernel...I'll keep you updated! Triple-M! Triple-M
Okay folks, after installing Leopard without vanilla my machine boots now a little bit further - unfortunately it gets still stuck at the grey screen with the apple symbol. The -v option shows localhost mDNSResponder-164: starting after that line the system hangs up. The -x -v option shows one more line down to localhost /usr/bin/ocspd[71]: starting ...and hangs up then :-( Any ideas what to try next? Cya, Triple-M! ulyanov77
Mine also crashed after a few lines in darwin. I found that upon a fresh install that I can boot from the install disk into Leopard, but now I don't know how to boot without the disk. Triple-M
I just tried booting with the option "vanilla" with the Kalyway DVD - it results in rebooting as well. so I think my current config will not work with the vanilla kernel :-( Cya, Triple-M Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/80761-kalyway-1051-installed-reboots-after-darwin/#findComment-573587 Share on other sites

icecreamskateteam
the same things happening for me but its for the installer. when i boot from the dvd it says press f8 and stuff then it goes to darwin then loads for a minute then restartes and keeps doing that over and over. so now i cant even install it, so far ive tryed KALYWAY and iatkos and in iatkos it goes to the apple screen before the installer and loads. it doesnt do anything it just sits there loading. its getting really annoying, i kinda know what im doing but not really ive already installed Jas 10.4.7 without any problems. does anybody got any ideas? CompCrasher86
I am having trouble getting to the installer also. I have an iAtkos v1.0 disk and the only way I can get into darwin is by putting the disc into my Presario 2581US laptop right after seeing the bios splash screen. Then I press enter and Darwin loads. I see the apple splash screen for a split second and my laptop restarts. I have tried using -x and also -v. I don't know if I'm supposed to enter a special code or anything (vanilla?) but I am ready to throw my laptop out the window right now. (Just kidding If I did I'd be lost for life) Please help! -matt Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/80761-kalyway-1051-installed-reboots-after-darwin/#findComment-587600 Share on other sites
