Mr Foo Posted January 8, 2008 Share Posted January 8, 2008 Hello, I installed OSX 10.4.8 JaS SSE2/SSE3 PPF1 and PPF2 on my machine yesterday. The installation seemed to go through with no problems, but now when I try to boot into this installation, I get nothing but blackness when I should be seeing the OSX log-in screen. That is, I see the grey screen with the Apple logo and the animated white circle towards the bottom, but after that, nothing happens at all. My system spec is: ASRock motherboard of some mediocre description (so mediocre it doesn't even have a model number on the box) Core 2 Quad 2.4GB (Kentsfield) CPU 2GB RAM nVidia GFX NV46 PCI Express graphics card 2 x SATA hard-drives 2 x PATA hard-drives (one of which has OS X installed on it, and only that) Terratec Phase 28 audio card Cheapo USB/Firewire card My USB peripherals that I have connected at start-up are a USB card reader, an Epson Stylus 880 and a USB hub.
