Arab the Stab
I can read from but not write to the ntfs drives in my system. When I get info on the drives it tells my the permissions are read only. Any Idea how to fix this.. I had a work around which was to set up a partition on one drive that both OS's could read and write to through the apple disk utility, but I've forgotten what format it was in. wilstar
There's a few apps that allow OS-X to write to NTFS but it's apparently risky, I've just set up a FAT32 partition, works well. That works fine however you are limited to a max 4G file size.
BJMoose
Paragon has a nice product out there that is pretty inexpensive (only about $29USD) and it does a fine job of reading and writing to ntfs drives from within OSX. On the PC side, MacDrive v7 will do the same for Windows XP, allowing easy reading and writing to hfs+ drives. I've not tested it on vista, but does the job well under xp. mtotho
make a fat32 data partition, transfer files from the windows to the data, and from the data to the mac, or vice versa
