webterractive Posted January 5, 2008 Share Posted January 5, 2008 Does anyone have a good way of installing JaS 10.4.8 with pc_efi. I have tried to install the OS using pc_efi but it seems that now I have two boot loaders but the pc_efi is the one that links to the kernel. But for some reason the system doesn't boot pass the Apple screen. I would like to get some input to see if anyone has successfully done this. SMF Posted January 7, 2008 Share Posted January 7, 2008 You need to boot in verbose mode and tell us where it hangs. As the boot prompt hit the F8 key and then enter -v at the "boot:" line and then hit enter. When it hangs you'll see a bunch of text that will help isolate the problem - report it back here. webterractive Posted January 8, 2008 Author Share Posted January 8, 2008 Gee, I re-installed Windows on this computer, but I'll purchase another HDD and let you know. If you have it working how did you get it all setup? Software - JaS 10.4.8, pc_efi_v3 It only hangs when you install 10.4.9 legit. I have install dsmos.kext as well but nothing.
