MikeDX Posted January 3, 2008 Share Posted January 3, 2008 Dear all I have a Dell 2650 Inspiron - not the most powerful laptop in the world, but functional. I've been experimenting with various osx installs over the past few days, and have noticed that on occasions my built in keyboard and trackpad are completely unrecognised, yet I could boot from the same DVD image 2 minutes later and both the trackpad and keyboard would be recognised. In either case, plugging in a usb keyboard and or mouse makes the install (and subsequent installed os) useable but as you can imagine, having to use a mouse with a laptop isnt an ideal situation. I managed to get the keyboard every time by adding the extra lines to the /etc/rc file to unload and reload the kext, but so far have had no luck with the trackpad. Any ideas folks? I'm all ears!
