alucard_xs
Hi, when i tried many times to install leopard on my new PC but even if the install seems OK, it just does not boot or, it boots but hangs with the screen apple ... I tried IATKOS, TOh et Kalway version ... I'm using a USB HD and I've got a IDE dvd-rom (and a SATA hd drive but I don't wanna install leopard on it, it's just for windows XP). I really do not know what to do now ... Maybe i do not use the good drivers during installation ? Here are my specs : E6750 8800GT 512 nic : realtek RTL 8168/8111 PCI-E gigabyte ethernet mother board : GIgabyte P35C-DS3R INTEL ICH9 Sound : REALTEK HD AUDIO THanks for helping

nefilim
i could only install my GA-P35-DS3R with the flat image. easiest way by far to get it done. using old 256MB 6800 though, getting a 512MB 8800GT tomorrow.
parch11
alucard_xs have you changed your bios settings as recommended in the guides? I have the P35DS3P mobo and am running Leopard from my 500 My Book external drive. I had problems booting into Leopard until I checked all the BIOS settings. Check the HPET, set it to 64 bit, which is under power. Change the SATA to ACHI. Turn off VMM virtualization or whatever is called. I can't think of the other settings 'cuase i'm not home to check. But double check the BIOS settings. I had no problems installing Leopard, it was only at reboot when I had problems.

Bauer418
iATKOSv1.0ir2 doesn't work as well for me as v1.0i did. I got everything working fine with my SATA HD running under the IDE controller. Occasionally, when modifying kexts or the system, I would have to manually reboot my computer because it would stall on the apple screen. My guess is buggy SATA drivers for my chipset, and probably a similar case for your system.

Im installing iATKOS v4 on a P35C-DS3R and Im having the "waiting for root device" problem. After install I've tried setting the BIOS to AHCI, but then Im getting this error: failed to load extension com.apple.driver.appleAHCIPort Any ideas? Thanks Gonso
