HELP TOSHIBA laptop OSx86 install

HI,

I have a TOSHIBA L40-14F

And I tried to install OsX onto it, using JaS 10.4.6 DVD but when it began to boot the apple logo apeared only for a split second. Everything works Ok in Vmware (Disk utility cant recognize HD)

 

I found that Toshiba users had most success usin JaS 10.4.8 DVD but it will take a whole lotta time to downloadso I want to do it with the one I have.

 

Someone suggested it can have some microcontroller with bug in the DVD rom. (or should I try to burn the boot DVD at lover speed?)

 

What would you OsX86-ers suggest?
