Recently I installed Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.6 on my PC...The problem is that I m not able to get connected to internet on Tiger....I have a DSL Connection with a Realtek RTL-8139d PCI Ethernet Adapter and my ISP has given me certain IP addresses which have to be entered in TCP/IP in network connections everytime windows is installed...This works fine on XP/Vista.....

But on Tiger in system Preferences in Network settings the Tiger only have "Built in Serial Port" and the "Built in ethernet" cannot be selected.....I think its not recognizing the card

I am having the following info provided by my ISP:-

IP Address

Subnet Mask

Default Gateway

and Preferred DNS Server and Alternate DNS Server....

M sorry as I could find many threads with same issue but m using mac for the first time and dont know much about it like kext, terminal window or stuff like dat...PLz tell it step by step thanx

Also Plz tell do I need to install any Drivers after installing Tiger

MOBO---Intel 865 GBF

Graphic card -GF 6200

P4 3.0 Ghz

Ethernet Adapter---Realtek Rtl8139d PCI Ethernet Adapter
