billman424 Posted January 27, 2006 Share Posted January 27, 2006 my computer has a marvell yukon network in it that isnt compadable with osx so i bought a realtek 8139d cause i read on here its suppsoed to work. i pop it in and os x 10.4.3 doesnt recongnize it, i try disabling the marvell in the bios, i tried reinstalling os x, i tried switching pci slots, NOTHING, im going out of my mind here. does anyone have any ideas. Hi. I have an 8139 working here. Maybe you must edit the Info.plist in AppleRTL8139Ethernet.kext in IONetworkingFamily.kext to match your cards vendor and device ids. It contains <string>0x813910ec 0x13001186 0x12111113</string> and those are working for my card. jpincheira Posted February 16, 2006 Share Posted February 16, 2006 Im having the same problem. But I don't find the AppleRTL8139Ethernet.kext under /System/Library/Extensions/IONetworkingFamily.kext. I just see there a dir called Contents there! have I to create the AppleRTL8139Ethernet.kext dir under /System/Library/Extensions/IONetworkingFamily.kext and put there a Info.plist with <string>0x813910ec 0x13001186 0x12111113</string> ??
