I am using Zeph's AMD DVD build and it installs fine, then when i go to reboot it starts loading and I get stuck at this:

Kernel Version:

Darwin Kernel Version 9.1.0: Fri Nov 16 14:50:43 SCI 2007; made by ToH:xnu-1228.0.2-1/BUILD/obj/RELEASE_I386

I am very new to this so any help would be appreciated. I wanted to try to get this to work so I could play around on Leopard to see if I wanted to actually put the money up for buying a full fledged mac.

My specs:

AMDX2 2.2 Dual Core

DFI Lanparty Motherboard

Nvidia 7600 (2) Graphic Cards

I'm getting the exact same readout of the kernel, but thats all you are showing. the error is found below the section:

Debugger called: <panic>

Backtrace blah blah blah

for me its telling me one of the Backtraces terminated because invalid frame pointer 0

I also notice that right before it goes into a kernel_panic mode it is going through the following commands:

ACPI_SMC_CtrlLoop::initCPUCtrlLoop - pmCPUControl (PMSETSTATETABLE) returned 0x637a300

panic(cpu 0 caller0x001A8387): Kernel trap at 0x45f5a5bc, type 14=page fault, registers:

Error code: 0x00000000

I have no idea what this is referring to or how to make it stop sending it into a panic.

my system is:

Dell Inspiron 531

Athlon64x2 4000+ @ 2.1Ghz

NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE

3GB DDR2 SDRAM @667MHz

250GB S-ATA @ 7200 rpm (working with MeDevil kext)

CDRW/DVD & DVDRW - SATA (working with MeDevil kext)

Nevermind... I got my system running just fine now after making sure I changed the AppleNForceATA.kext file to the one supplied by MeDevil. I then had to go and delete all NV*.kext and GeForce*.kext files from the Extensions folder to get mine running.

It's all good now. See my post here for how I did it.
