tpmwr
Hey everyone! I have an IBM T42 running an IBM Wireless a/b/g (Atheros AR5001X+) card. My card's DEV and WEN ids are: 168c,1014. I have added: <string>168c,1014</string> to System/Library/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AirPortAtheros.kext/Contents/Info.plist then rebooted. After the reboot it still does not see my wifi card and the light still does not come on. If I open the Info.plist file the line is still there but no luck. I had much success with this back in my 10.4.9 Install, but none in this 10.5.1 Install. Also, I have a Radeon Mobility 9600. I have manually set the display to 1280x1024 and it works great, but if I set it to 1400x1050 the windows look all messed up if I move them. ALso, QE is not supported. Is there any fix for this? Any suggestions? -Anthony Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/79014-need-atheros-radeon-help-in-leopard/ Share on other sites
tpmwr
Both drivers exist for Tiger, anyone have any hints how I can make them work for Leopard? Megamixman
For wireless did you re chown and chmod them? Did you delete extensions.mkext and the Caches folder in the Extensions folder? I also boot with -f after that to make sure the new modified driver gets cached and used. tpmwr
Wow! That worked GREAT Megamixman! Thanks for the advice! Anyone have any suggestions on getting this guide: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=43829 To work on Leopard. I installed it. And it found my card and in -s showed it setting to the right resolution (1400x1050) but it would crash Leopard out. -Anthony Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/79014-need-atheros-radeon-help-in-leopard/#findComment-563235 Share on other sites
