bitingthefruit
Working from it now! Needed just to modify the Atheros kext to recognize my PCI id (168c,1014) and delete the Code* files. Mac OS boots and sees my home network (but for that to work, SSID broadcast must be enabled - if not you'll need to ask him to connect to 'other' and provide credentials). Thinking of helping with info about successful installations, how about including the 'ioreg -l' output? Things I miss from tiger: - battery power meter (I think that's the power management) Things I would appreciate... but that seems to be difficult to fix: - correctly map the volume, brightness, etc. controls. I actually AM able to adjust volume from the keyboard but MacOS won't 'see' it; and sometimes I stroke a key combination that shows the volume icon on the screen (but the actual volume isn't changed). Weird :-) Awesome!!!! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/78826-success-with-kalyway-dvd-and-an-idea/ Share on other sites
otipher
I originally installed Leopard on my T61 without wireless support and its working well (but no audio). Since then I added a Lenovo Atheros wan mini-pci card and made the pci number edit above. But Leopard still isn't recognizing the card or network availability, even after I used kextload to load the IO80211family.kext Any suggestions for next steps? Re-install needed or can I manually patch the driver support now?
