hi, i have a Lexmark X3580 all-in-one printer and a fully functioning ToH leopard installation however, i cannot seem to make my printer work. i used the newest drivers from the lexmark website and also those that came with the printer but neither worked. My computer recognises the printer and knows that the drivers are there but if i try to go in image capture to scan an image, as soon as i click on the preview or scan button, Image Capture crashes and closes and leaves me with a popup that says something like ''Image Capture closed unexpectedly, do you want to report/ignore/relaunch'' this occrs when i want to scan an image.

the following are my system specifications:

Dell Dimension 9150

2 gb Ram

X1950 pro 512mb gddr3 (QE/CI enabled)

USB 2.0 harddrive 120GB

Can anyone help me? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You are not alone. Most applications I print from crash with the same "quit unexpectedly" error. I am using a Network/WiFi attached Lexmark Z1420.

The printer installs, is found/detected just fine.

I have a feeling it is something to do with the modded kexts provided in the ToH/Kalyway/iATKOS distros. But I cannot prove that yet. I will be installing vanilla print stuff later and see what happens.
