Ed D
Greetings all. I just recently joined the Hackintosh "club." I'm currently running 10.4.5 on my IBM T30 using the Myzar DVD. I'm writing because I've noticed that there are some T30s here running 10.4.8 and I'm wondering how they "upgraded." Did they use the JaS DVD or some other method? I searched a bit to find how such an upgrade was accomplished but could find no information. I'm assuming I either missed it, or the method was some other DVD. Any and all clues appreciated. Ed. bibendum
I used the Jas 10.4.8 on my T40, but I still don't have QE because I can't find the stuff to update OpenGL etc... There used to be a RapidShare of the files, but it's long gone. Ed D
But when you "upgrade" with the 10.4.8 DVD will you have to wipe out everything you've done with the 10.4.5 DVD? I've installed 10.4.5 a couple times and in the subsequent installs it forbid me from installing on the pre-existing installation. I assume it is the same for the 10.4.8 DVD; if I try to install over my previous installation, I will have to wipe it clean, losing everything I've done so far. Ed.
