Zero21xxx
I've been trying to install the X86 version of OSX and I have had minimal success. I have the file "macosx_10.4.3_8f1111_for_dtk_userdvd.iso" and I applied(as best as I can tell) the "JaS.1111a.Generic.Patch.v4.2b" patch using ppf-omatic3. I'm trying to install it on my laptop as the only operating system because I thought it would be easier that way to avoid having to do any partition trickery. In retrospect it seems like it would have been easier to keep Windows on there from some of the tutorials I've read. In any event, when I boot to the OSX install DVD the grey screen comes up and almost immediately, I receive a message telling me that my computer needs to be restarted. A typical vague Mac error message So I restarted and tried running the install in "safe mode" using -v, same thing. Things start to go wrong at about this line.
