gritmaster
I installed the iATKOS leopard release onto a multi-partitoned harddrive as follows: Partition 1: Win XP, NTFS Partition 2: OS X Tiger 10.4.7, HFS This setup worked great. I wanted to keep both WinXP and 10.4.7 while I tried out 10.4.5, so using Acronis Disk Director, I added a new HFS partition at the end of the drive, so my new partition scheme looks like this: Partition 1: Win XP, NTFS Partition 2: OS X Tiger 10.4.7, HFS Partition 3: Leopard/iATKOS, HFS I used Acronis Disk Director to set the partition type of my Partition 3 to 0xAF type and then erased the drive during the install process of iATKOS using DIsk Utility. The install went great - I installed EFI. However, when using the Boot Manager from 10.4.7 on partition 2 (partition 2 is set Active), and I hit F8 to bring up the Operating System Selection screen, and select Leopard, I briefly see the gray Apple Logo screen then the system reboots. 10.4.7 and WinXP still boot fine when they are selected. Booting with -V doesn't help b/c the reboot happens so quickyl I can't make out what the first few lines of text are. The system is an Acer Aspire 3680 laptop with CeleronM and GMA950 - works great in 10.4. Does my issue have something to do with the partitioning scheme or EFI?
