So, today I went out and treated myself to a fresh new system. these are the specs;

Q6600 2.4GHz Core 2 Quad

XFX GeForce 7600 GT XXX 256Mb

Asus P5KC w/P35 chipset

4 x 1Gb Patriot Signature PC-2 6400 800MHz CL5

old system:

Pentium 4 524 3.06GHz

EVGA GeForce 7200 GS 128Mb

Asus P5LD2

4 x 1Gb Kinston ValueRam PC-2 5400 667MHz CL5

Shared in both systems

WDC 250 Gb SATA Drive 3Gb

JaS 10.4.8 install DVD w/10.4.10 update (8.10.1 kernel)

Now heres the interesting part, I did a complete swap, replaced everything except the power supply and the hard drive, and just for laughs and slaps, I figured I would try to boot to the OS to see how long it would take before I got my first kernel panic. Yeah, it never happened. Actually, it only took about an additional 20 seconds to boot up, and then boom, I was in. I have never seen any system get completely upgraded without the OS needing to be reinstalled, and this OS isn't even made for my box!! Kudos to Tiger, Apple, and all the supporters and developers of the OSx86 community.

Almost everything on my new rig works with a few exceptions. Heres what I have noticed so far:

Firewire=works

audio=doesn't work

on-board ethernet=doesn't work, had to install a Dlink PCI card, worked with no issues or fixes

QE-CI=completely working, and boy is it a world of difference over my 7200!

SATA drive=well, this ones weird, disk utility reports it as capacity-128Gb, available-211Gb, and used-21Gb :blink:

So far this is all I have noticed, but I will continue to update this post if I discover anything else, good or bad. I think I saw a fix for the audio so I will report my results. If anybody has any info about this Motherboard please share your results.

BTW I included a screenshot of my results, everything shows up in system profiler properly, bus speeds, CPU, the whole bit, and I still haven't reinstalled the OS. :)
