Kalyway Leopard - Many programms crash immediatelly

Hi Guys,

 

maybe someone can give me a hint whats wrong here;

I copied the Programmfolder from Office 2004 to my programm folder and none of the programms do start. If I start word, entourage everything crashes. If I want to install programms from my canon cd for my eos camera the installer crashes, also. What could be the problem here.

When I used the flat image these programms worked. I have installed iLife - this works also other programs like fire, proteus and so on...

Any hints?

have you done a permissions repair on the drive? Office 2004 has to be installed again(microsoft!!) or you must do a user transfer as it then gets all the OTHER files it has copied all over the drive and then put it in!

yes, i did the permission repair several times also reinstalled and so on - no go.

this happened to me as well.. i did have to reinstall office 2004.. for the very reason sticman mentioned..

I ran into the same problem. The simple drag folder to Applications didn't work. I deleted it.

 

Try running the Office 2004 Setup Assistant (if you have the original disk) -- after I ran this, it ran perfectly.

 

I had the same problem with Adobe CS3 demo. It failed immediately. I re-ran the install, and it worked fine.

another thing is to see if you have QE/CI working. go to the system profiler to do this - its under graphics
