Kernel panic while booting on battery

Hi.

I managed to install Leopard 10.5.1, upgrading from uphuck 10.4.9 (1.4a) using that AMD dvd floating around on my AMD laptop (asus z92km, sis based) - all that worked with tiger works here but I can't boot from battery.

Using AppleVIAATA.kext it throws a kernel panic right after "Got boot device/BSD root" lines, without it (drives working in PIO mode :P ) it gets past that but after "dsmos: Starting..." or something like that it just hangs there.

Any ideas as to what's causing it?

Thanks!
