Can't boot from DVD

I've been checking these threads for a while now and haven't found anyone with a similar problem. My setup:

ABIT VT7 mobo

Pentium 4 Prescott

512MB Corsair

Maxtor 120GB HD (for Windows)

Samsung 40GB HD (for osx86)

Pioneer DVR-106D burner

Samsung CD Burner

The problem is, I can't get Generic-Tiger.iso to boot from a DVD. I've burned it a couple times with Nero and Alcohol. I have had 10.4.1 running on my samsung drive using dd method and the flat.img. I decided to use Generic-Tiger because someone said they had better results with it. I tried to dd the generic iso and it didn't work. I have my BIOS set to boot from CD first. I have my samsung drive set as master and the maxtor set as slave. I have my pioneer drive set as master and my samsung burner set as slave. I was able to boot from my darwin 8.01 CD and installed it on the samsung drive. But for some reason I can't boot off a DVD. Any suggestions?
