Keir Posted January 26, 2006 Share Posted January 26, 2006 Hi Guys, I'm attempting to install OSx86 10.4.3 on my newly built machine but I'm not getting very far. I'm at work at the moment, and can't remember the error (not very helpful I know) but it happens during the initial loading screen (after the -V bit). Anyway, I've looked at the various hardware lists on the site, but I've gotten a bit confused by it so I figured if I list the main bits here then you guys might be able to tell me whether its likley to be a hardware incompatibility. Ok, Motherboard: ASUS A8N-SLI Premium Processor: AMD 64 X2 4400mhz RAM: 2gb Corsair RAM Graphics Gard: ATI Radeon 1800XT Although I do have a RAID setup at the moment for WMCE, I don't mind having to erase that to get this working as it doesnt take that long to get everything up and running, and I think that OSx86 doesnt support my RAID (From what I could figure out from the various pages around the site). Anyway, if anyone can help, I'd appreciate it. I do have a Mac (PowerBook) but its getting on a bit and I'd be interested to have a go at OSx86 on a more powerful machine. Cheers! I have installed this 4 times and it always hangs on initial load...The black screen with all command line comments on whats being loaded, etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
