You have been told to use GParted LiveCD if you install iATKOS .

I suggest Parted Magic instead. It is a lot better at configuring X and it has more tools:

(This will save you some extra frustration, especially if you are new to Linux)

interesting. I used knoppix 5.1 which comes with QTparted. I guess there all based on almost the same thing. However I had some major issues with Gparted as it kept flacking out on me.

Can you resize a hfs+ partition on a GUID partition scheme with parted magic? I'll have to try this on QTparted in knoppix. I hope it will do it so I dont have to use drive Genius.

Gparted I know wont do that. Drive genius does but I dont like it to much.

Can you explain me exactly why you need to use GParted with iATKOS?

Cause I'm tying to install it... And it's not working...

thanks

the uphuck teams script does not set the partition active when it installs darwin bootloader.

So you need to go in after the install and set active the partition and it will work.

I used knoppix live CD 5.1 to do this as gparted sucks.

From the knoppix live CD go to system and look for QTparted and open that and find your drive and right click on the partiton you installed on and go down to set active and then apply the changes. Then reboot and leopard should load.

Well, basically QTparted and GParted are front-ends to GNU Parted, so they should do the same things. You can resize an empty hfs+ partition (I believe), but I don't think you can safely resize one with data or, worse, OS X on it.
