Help with Leopard on intel laptop

Hi I am a total noob at this but please can anyone help me. I've always wanted to try leopard out but don't have the money to buy me a mac so i'm stuck with my Toshiba Satellite M100 notebook. So I have the leopard iAtkos 1.0 dvd and installed it. Everything went right with the install i created a partition using the disk utility but when I reboot there's only a blinking cursor so I've recovered my notebook to out-of-box state and here I am trying to figure this out...Can anyone please help? If anyone needs my specs i'll write them down (I am compatible with SSE3 and SSE2)
