Hey guys first post, anywho

I got 10.4.1 running. I got a hold of 4.3 8f1111 and i was curious the best way to update. Does it have to be a clean install or can it mearly be updated?

Also Ive seen a couple different patches floating around i wasnt sure what combo i needed.

<what it seems like i need to do>

Patch the dvd with the jas patch

completely reinstall

then add the maxxuss patches and the anti tpm

then im good?

I don't want to discourage you from trying the new one but...

I had one that I can't cite the exact name ( i have already erased the torrent) but it was supposed to be jas paches plus maxxus patches made to work on most, but I think I ended up with a fraud or one with some kind of virus on it, and now have gone back to the 10.4.1

The problems did not go away untill I used about 20 of the 35 erase option but that cured it so go for it, just don't copy or tranfer any files till your sure that's not the one you have, and you will know it because it removes your ability to access you bios and then you have to have both a mac and a windows keyboard to get a cd to boot, because some funtions don't work on one and some other functions don't work on the other...

then it does some crazy and malicious stuff which is why I think it was a virus, it renamed my hard drive and my harddrive's new name was my password.

May also be best to make sure your not connected to internet untill you know for sure.

I hope that don't make you not want to try, it's curable just a little time consuming.

Who ever at Mac decided to put that many wipes as an option was genius. Nothing can survive that much erasing.

The JaS patched DVD is really good for most people - but some people can't get it to work. Best to read a lot of the posts in this installation section and decide what you want to do. You will have to re-install anyway, you can't update 10.4.1 successfully.
