KahNv2 Posted December 22, 2007 Share Posted December 22, 2007 Hello, After some realy difficult weeks I decided to buy a second PC. I have A 680i (p5n32-e SLI deluxe) for XP and Vista and I have bought now: P5W DH E6750 2Gb of ram (kingston Hyper X 74Gb Raptor eax700, it will be a x1900xt This is just my Leopard machine. Well, now I just have to get my LAN working. I installed the kalyway DVD (thanks guys, you RULE!) No problems at all, GUID partitions, startup in under 20 seconds (after boot) and even my EAX700 works (I know, it is an old card). But now my LAN isn't working at all. It shows it is installed (marvel yukon gigabit 88e8053 singleport copper SA) but I cant get it to connect. I even changed my info.plist to the 88e8050 model (with the guide on this forum) but still no network. It always says that the network cable is unplugged. I also manually put in the IP adresses (worked for my 680i board) but still no go. Please some help here. I know a lot of you guys have a fully working P5W DH so i hope it is easely done. And an other problem. The kalyway installs the realtek wifi driver, looks fine. But after 5 seconds of connecting it just stops and disconnects. After that I cannot get it to connect. I have to restart the computer and then It will reconnect again, but just for 5 seconds. jsz0 Posted December 22, 2007 Share Posted December 22, 2007 You might want to try setting the speed/duplex settings manually in System Prefs -- perhaps the driver is not auto-negotiating correctly. You already tested the cable/NIC to make sure it works outside of OSX? KELVIN88 Posted December 22, 2007 Share Posted December 22, 2007 ... I guess I'm in slightly better state with the Iatkos 1.0i Lan works fine EFI booting works fine 1 lan port works audio works.. (I think output only)... 7900GT works perfectly with ONLY nvinject even does 2560 x 1600 SLeep and shut down work perfectly.. Haven't tried to get the onboard wirless going.. However niether a wgr311 or asus broadcomm refuse to work.. (both wireless cards worked under tiger) I've done all the editing necesary and patching.. the most I can get is the airport icon. adn the machine telling me the unit is switched off.. ?why an ATI card over the NVIDIA.. I have also checked the cable with my XP machine, witch I'm workin on right now so it works fine @kelvin88 I also downloaded the Iaktos 1.0i, but the kalyway just works like a charm so I realy don't want to install a other version. Also the kalywas has GUID working fine and has some other app's on the install DVD.
