Luminaire Posted December 22, 2007 Share Posted December 22, 2007 So here's the deal: I have installed leopard (very) successfully on my AMD rig on a PATA drive. I adapt a kext, and my SATA drive works. The drive is the exact same size as my PATA drive. So I copy the whole thing using the restore function in diskutil. I set the drive to active using fdisk -e. All seems well. Until I try to boot. Then it gives me the blinking underscore. So I try booting it from my PATA drive using "rd=disk0s1" (points to the SATA drive. I can clearly hear the noise). I'm out of ideas. It's primary, basically exactly the same as the original drive. Except not really that bootable. Anybody? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
