How do I stop a volume from automounting at system boot?

Doesn't BSD use /etc/fstab to manage mount points? I come from Linux and if I want to play around with my partitions I'll edit fstab.

 

The problem is that I created I big partition to share files on dual boot, but I don't want it to mount at OS X boot. Any chances to do that?
