Hi,

I have a fresh 10.4.3 installation on my PC :) and I have just installed firefox for MacOSX.

Now I wondering - the application is really slow (not the network connection but the

program itself). Compared with safari, firefox starts 10 times slower and the performance

is bad too.

Besides I have installed the videolan client for macosx and there I have no performance decrease

compared with windows xp on the same machine. So what could be wrong with firefox??

Cheers,

danone

PS: I have 1Gig of Ram and a P4 3.2 GHz (HT enabled) SSE2

I don't know :poster_oops: it's just the version from the http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html for macosx

so I think it's not the unibin version isn't it??

So should it be faster when using the unibin version. Sorry for that stupid questions but I am still noob.

Any help would be great.

Cheers,

danone

You are using PPC version.

I recommend you try "Camino" compiled for Mac x86, here is the link: http://josh.trancesoftware.com/mozilla/Camino-x86.app.zip (extracted from xplodenet.com)
