moto211 Posted December 18, 2007 Share Posted December 18, 2007 has anyone developed a method for implementing EFI on AMD systems that retains all of the benefits of EFI on and intel system? i have seen some posts regarding people getting EFI to work on their AMD system but they lacked many of the EFI benefits, the biggest being that they couldn't update their installation without braking it. Sorry to say it but that is true, and no offense to any AMD fans, intel is truly the best and the best for apple. Apples kernels are made for either intel core based processors or PPC platform. you cant "emulate" an intel chip and get it to boot. If you want EFI that bad go and get a cheap core duo chip, thats the only other option.
