andrew h
I'm running a Hack in the study (P35-DS3) which runs great, and an old PC in the lounge which I'm running media centre on. The lounge PC is an old AMD system, that struggles with High Def channels, takes ages to load and so on, so needs to upgraded, and hoping to switch from a windows to OSX environment at the same time. Nothing too expensive, I'm got a nice machine running OSX already, I just need TV, music, DVD's and so on.. So here's where the questions start. Motherboard - Can anyone recommend a decent motherboard that has 5.1 out (not optical, but the three plugs) On board video would be ok - but as the 7300GS's are so cheap, not really an issue. Also - I'm currently running the PC's TV via a Twinhan terrestrial TV card plugged into it - has anyone tried these with OSX? thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/76585-hackintosh-for-a-htpc/ Share on other sites
Kane Adams
Unless the TV card has Mac drivers forget it. munky
FYI the cheap and cheerful Freecom DVB-T Stick works with EyeTV too. I got mine for about £20.
