one4u2nv
I already have the older verison installed on my computer presently. I downloaded 8f1111 last night and it will not let me install it for some reason. It says that my hardware isn't supported. Also if it makes a difference when i converted the dmg to an iso Ultraiso will not mount the iso. It comes up with some mempry error. Did I do something wrong or is there a step I skipped? belgrano
Did you bother to patch the .iso after converting from .dmg? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/7643-install-problem/#findComment-47827 Share on other sites
one4u2nv
Which patch do i need to use for the new build. One torrent says Wesley's patch was used, but I can't find just his patch. Don't really want to go through 26 hours of waitin to download the pre-patched version. Is there another one that will work or a place where I can get just this one? belgrano
Let's clarify things here: you've got that dtk dvd file (.dmg) which is 2.81GB, right? Converted to iso, so now it's about 4.something GB, right? Use JaS patch. Download it and inside the archive you'll find complete instructions on how to apply this patch. JaS patch is about 20 something MB. If you've got some iso file (about 4GB) that was patched with Wesley patch, you don't need anything else. Metrogirl
Good advice from Belgrano. Also, make very sure you use MD5 on your files before patching, after patching (if you need to do that) and certainly before burning. There are plenty of checksums for the stuff so you can see exactly what you've got. JaS' patch has an RTF with the MD5s inside the zip. If they don't match, don't use them!
